CHRIS ROE RACING BACKS UP NO. 1 QUALIFYING PERFORMANCE WITH SEMIFINAL RUN AT BRAINERD

BRAINERD, Minn. — August 16, 2026 — Chris Roe continued his impressive start with the Right Trailers team Sunday at Brainerd International Raceway, as he advanced to the semifinals of the second event of the weekend’s NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series double divisional.

The semifinal appearance came in only Roe’s second race behind the wheel of the Right Trailers Ford Mustang and capped a weekend that saw the Florida racer qualify No. 1 in both events.

After opening the weekend with a No. 1 qualifying performance in the first divisional race, including a 6.378-second pass at 219.26 mph, Roe returned to the track for the second event and once again put himself at the top of the qualifying order. (NHRA)

Even more impressively, Roe secured the second No. 1 qualifying position with only one time run.

After exiting the first race of the double divisional in the opening round, Roe and the Right Trailers team quickly reset for the second event. The response was immediate: another No. 1 qualifying position followed by a strong eliminations run that carried Roe all the way to the semifinals.

Roe’s run toward the final round came to an end in the semifinals when he red-lit by just .006 seconds, ending a weekend that demonstrated both the performance of the Mustang and Roe’s ability to quickly adapt to the car.

The Brainerd double divisional marked another milestone in the growing relationship between Roe and Right Trailers team president Michael Scott, who selected Roe to drive the Mustang based on his experience handling high-horsepower Ford race cars.

For Roe, the focus now turns immediately to the next challenge.

The team will remain at Brainerd International Raceway for the NHRA Brainerd Nationals, August 20–23, where Roe will return to national-event competition but this time (for the first time) in the mustang, before heading to the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, September 2–7.

With two No. 1 qualifying performances and a semifinal appearance already on the books in his first two races with the Right Trailers Mustang, Roe heads into next weekend’s national event with momentum.
